Overview
On May 26, 2026, the Board of Directors authorized the release of a request for proposals to initiate a competitive procurement process to select a firm to provide operation and maintenance of compressed natural gas fueling stations that support compressed natural gas buses operating throughout Orange County. Board of Directors’ approval is requested to execute an agreement for the operations and maintenance of the compressed natural gas fueling stations located at the Anaheim, Garden Grove, and Santa Ana bus bases.

Recommendation(s)
A. Approve a budget increase in the amount of $545,292 from the original Board of Directors-approved budget of $2,181,165.
B. Approve the selection of Clean Energy as the firm to provide compressed natural gas fueling station operation and maintenance services.
C. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to negotiate and execute Agreement No. C250282 between the Orange County Transportation Authority and Clean Energy, in the amount of $2,726,457, to provide compressed natural gas fueling station operation and maintenance services for a three-year initial term beginning December 1, 2026, with two, one-year option terms.
