91 Express Lanes 6C Transponder Technology Transition
Overview
Commencing January 1, 2019, all California tolling agencies will be required to read a new transponder protocol, 6C. As part of this requirement, the Orange County Transportation Authority and Riverside County Transportation Commission are developing the future deployment plan for the 91 Express Lanes and the 6C transponders. Staff will present a preliminary strategy for the transition.
