Approval to Release Invitation for Bids for Liquefied Natural Gas Tank Removal at the Anaheim and Garden Grove Bus Bases

 

Overview

The Orange County Transportation Authority has transitioned to operating compressed natural gas buses, and is phasing out the use of its liquefied natural gas bus fleet. The underground liquefied natural gas storage tanks located at the Anaheim and Garden Grove bus bases will no longer be required and need to be removed as directed by the State Department of Industrial Relations, Pressure Vessel Unit. Board of Directors’ approval is requested to issue an invitation for bids for removal of the liquefied natural gas underground storage tanks at the Anaheim and Garden Grove bus bases.

   

Recommendation(s)

Approve the release of Invitation for Bids 7-1756 for the liquefied natural gas tank removal at the Anaheim and Garden Grove bus bases.
