Newport Transportation Center Relocation Feasibility Study Update

Overview
In October 2025, the Orange County Transportation Authority Board of Directors authorized the Chief Executive Officer to enter into a cooperative agreement with the City of Newport Beach to perform a relocation feasibility study of the Newport Beach Transportation Center. This cooperative agreement was finalized on December 15, 2025. The procurement process to retain a consultant for the study, which was conducted jointly by the Orange County Transportation Authority and the City of Newport Beach staff, was completed in January 2026 and the project was officially kicked off in February 2026. The project team will provide an update on study progress completed to date. The study is expected to be completed by the end of the calendar year.
