Main St., Orange), and meetings are typically held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 9:30 a.m. Committee meetings dates and times can be found on the Board and Committee Calendar. Any exceptions to the date, time, or location of the meeting are shown on the Agenda Page. Public comment opportunities and requests for ADA accommodation are outlined on each agenda, which is posted 72 hours prior to the meeting. Members of the public can access Board and Committee meetings and provide live public comment at https://octa.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. Overview
The Orange County Transportation Authority’s Interstate 5 Improvement Project between State Route 73 and Oso Parkway required the acquisition of property rights from public and private parties, adjacent to the existing freeway and city streets. Approximately 24,434 square feet of vacant commercial property located at the southwest corner of Marguerite Parkway and Avery Parkway in the City of Mission Viejo and identified as a portion of assessor parcel nos. 740-014-01 and 740-014-05, is recommended to be sold as surplus land by the Orange County Transportation Authority. Therefore, staff is seeking approval to sell the vacant land as surplus land under the Surplus Land Act (Government Code Section 54220 et seq.).
